AIRTEL NOT ONLY UNDULY BILLS - BUT ALSO JUSTIFIES IT

 

I am giving up my Airtel Mobile No. 9940683330 and have taken up two other services.

My New Mobile Nos. are  819962299  &  8148157929

THE REASON IS THE EXCESS BILLING OF Rs.610. AS GPRS USAGE.

I do not know what are the uses of GPRS and its applications. 

I do not know what to do with GPRS.   GPRS is NOT AT ALL ENABLED in my Handset.

But in my latest Bill from AIRTEL, a sum of Rs.610/- was billed as GPRS Usage.

(It is as if a Mobile Phone is billed for Rs.610/- when it was kept switched off.)

I complained and the reply I received from the Appellate Person read out the meter readings, informed that Airtel is having a state of the art billing system which is error free and said that there is no excess billing. 

(When I first started complaining in Customer Care (?), I was told that their Billing System was down and asked me to contact after 4 hours. (State of the Art System?)

The reply also informed that GPRS on my Mobile was activated on 2nd February 2013.

(In an earlier occasion when I happened to enquire in their Customer Care, I was told that I was only on a Basic Plan with Rate-Cutters and no other extra charges were there.)

NOW AIRTEL HAS CONFIRMED THAT A DELIBERATE BILLING ERROR IS RIGHT IN THEIR PERSPECTIVE. - It is not just excess billing- but a penalty with character assassination, for being their customer for years.

Wonderfully enough the Airtel Appellate Person is repeatedly giving the same information again and again.  Just repeating the same meter readings and the same reply.

By again and again repeating the same content, Airtel is insisting that I am a liar.

NOW I HAVE DECIDED.

I have stopped using their (AIRTEL) Mobile Service from 12-06-2013 Wednesday beginning.

I am now using  other services after waiting for a reasonable time for Airtel to resolve the issue.
